Latitude - Sector 18, NOIDA

By Sid • Jul 21st, 2008 • Category: Restaurants In NOIDA, Reviews

Latitude is labelled as a multi cuisine restaurant in the Mosaic Hotel, sector 18, NOIDA. We visited the place on Saturday night, with Manish and Priyanka Khullar - food loving and willing to experiment type of people.
The place is fairly well lit, a tad too much in places with a casual theme to their decor. [...]

Pind Balluchi - DLF City, Gurgaon

By Sid • Jul 15th, 2008 • Category: Restaurants in Gurgaon, Reviews

A hectic day ended with a visit to Pind Balluchi. I wasn’t very enthusiastic about it as more often than not, places serving Indian food tend to smother everything in thick, over-spiced gravies. Also, when you see a ‘rustic’ ambience being offered, it’s probably their way of saying ‘our waiters are monosyllabic morons and our [...]

Pizzaria Express - Great India Place, NOIDA

By Sid • Jul 14th, 2008 • Category: Restaurants In NOIDA, Reviews

Thought I’d pop in for a quick bite and read while the family shopped at the Great India Place. I’m gradually getting over my aversion to trying new places and Pizzaria Express looked as good as any other. It’s a new place started by a chap named Raghuvir Sahai. According to Mr. Sahai, he has [...]

Citrus Cafe - Udyog Vihar, Gurgaon

By Sid • Jul 14th, 2008 • Category: Restaurants in Gurgaon, Reviews

The Citrus Cafe is in a small (and very good I must add) hotel called ‘The Lemon Tree’. Rather hard to find due to no signage out front, it is however well worth the trouble, as we found out on Sunday.
Looking for a convenient spot to meet on Sunday, the Lemon Tree was suggested and [...]

Blanco - Khan Market, New Delhi

By Sid • Jul 11th, 2008 • Category: Restaurants in Delhi, Reviews

We visited Blanco a few days back for a drink and some food.
Quite a nice place. Either I haven’t been getting around as much as I used to, or restaurants are becoming more and more daring and experimenting with bold themes for their decor. I did like the way Blancos was set up. The staff [...]

Sidewok - Khan Market, New Delhi

By Sid • Jul 10th, 2008 • Category: Restaurants in Delhi, Reviews

Ashwin and I decided to meet up midweek and yesterday seemed as good a day as any. Since I had had enough of western style food, the general consensus was either an Indian or a Chinese restaurant. Roaming around Khan market, we found SideWok.
If I were to choose a single redeeming feature at SideWok, it [...]

Afghan, Lajpat Nagar, New Delhi

By Sid • May 13th, 2008 • Category: Restaurants in Delhi, Reviews

Ashwin (of MentorLink fame) took us out to an Afghani restaurant yesterday.A foodie himself, Ashwin likes finding restaurants and places to eat in little known places. “Before they start dishing out commercial crap”, are his words on the subject.
Anyhow, more of an eating house than a restaurant the way we all expect it, Afghan is [...]

Maggi Cuppa Mania

By Sid • May 2nd, 2008 • Category: Ready to Eat Food, Reviews

I’ve been seeing advertisements for Maggi Cuppa Mania for some time now and since instant noodles constitute my sole source of nourishment (whatever thats worth) at times, I thought of trying it out yesterday.
I normally purchase Top Ramen noodles or perhaps some of these Thai or Malaysian noodles. Have you tried those BTW? They come [...]

Baby Dragon, Sector 18, NOIDA

By Sid • May 1st, 2008 • Category: Restaurants In NOIDA, Reviews

Bumping into Nishant and Prashant, Culinary Entrepreneurs at large, we thought of having dinner together. Always ready to try new (and sometimes risky) restaurants, we decided to check out Baby Dragon.
Baby Dragon! The name has kept me away in the past for some reason and as it turned out, I was right to stay in [...]

Review: Nazeems, Sector 18, NOIDA

By Sid • May 1st, 2008 • Category: Restaurants In NOIDA, Reviews

We were shopping yesterday and I saw this place that I’d never visited - Nazeems. Thinking I’d pop in for a quick snack, I headed over. Located in a corner of sector 18, NOIDA, Nazeems claims to have been serving the public since Adam. Inside, it has a college canteen kind of decor and the [...]
