Maggi Cuppa Mania

I’ve been seeing advertisements for Maggi Cuppa Mania for some time now and since instant noodles constitute my sole source of nourishment (whatever thats worth) at times, I thought of trying it out yesterday.
I normally purchase Top Ramen noodles or perhaps some of these Thai or Malaysian noodles. Have you tried those BTW? They come with noodles, a small pack of flavored oil, a small pack of powdered spice, a pack of shrimp or other meat depending on the flavor and a little collapsible fork that snaps into place when unfolded. Mixing everything together, you get this really lovely flavor thats hard to beat. Which brings me to Maggi Cuppa Mania. We tried the ‘Chilly Chow Yo’ pack (where do they come up with these names from??). Its vegetarian and has quite a small portion of noodles in it with some peas and assorted vegetables. Maggi has failed quite miserably with this particular product as the taste is horrendous. It isn’t quite spicy nor does it have the familiar taste of Maggi Noodles (which we’ve gotten used to over the years). Though it cooks quite fast and includes a little fork, the flavor simply isn’t there. If Nestle replaces the little fork with a little flavor, they probably have a winner. Until then, Top Ramen rules! - Sid |

Yuck! We have something called Pot Noodle here which sounds similar. I tried one once - never again! I don’t even eat instant soups, think of all the additives…

Hi Jas, Yeah, the atta noodles are interesting. I remember Maggi had come out with a sweet flavor of noodles at one point. Didn’t really take off, so it disappeared quite fast.
